Sharing the Stokes with Surf Guide Algarve at Praia Castelejo
After rain comes sunshine, and after wind follows…no wind? Suddenly it is summer in the Algarve. As been mentioned before, not really the favourite time of year for surfing. Usually there is a lot of wind and not much swell. Add to this that all the prices for holiday houses, car rental and even food go up, and you can see why most surfers stay at home. Does this mean there is no surf in summer? Of course there are waves. You just have to get your expectations right, time it extra careful and be able to hit it when its good. Today Surf Guide Algarve is sharing the stokes with two friends in Praia Castelejo.

Sometimes you have to work for your Karma
Karma is a funny one, some people do not even believe in it. Altogether to much interesting things have happened to make that we do believe in Karma. Prior to this super fun session at Castelejo the wind just nooked for two days straight. During these kind of days its nice to explore other things in the Algarve. Since we live so close to the beach and it is good to scope out what is happening with the sand bars it is time for a long beach cleanup. Wondering if it makes any difference at all while i am dragging a huge piece of rope back to the bins. Bump into one of the lifeguards *hero, who is super stoked with the rope to make a cross fit tool from. Only moments later I see this hart in the sand, and realise it does indeed make a difference.

Time to shred
Finally the wind stops and it is time to surf again. From time to time you can just have an epic surf session in average waves. To sum up, the waves actually are way better then expected. If possible I would take these conditions any day of the year if I can share them with these two dudes. Would you like to join one of our missions soon, just send us a message!
