Sharing the Stokes with Surf Guide Algarve in summer Waves
All of a sudden it is summer, well, sort of. Boardshorts and flip flops are the only thing that we need, outside of the water that is. Unlike many tourists think, the water temperature here stays more or less the same. Creating a very big difference when you walk in the water on a hot day, dont ask how i know. In this little story we sharing the stokes with Surf Guide Algarve in fun summer waves. Shared with some of our VIP crew and a new member of the family. Please enjoy!
Refreshing to say the least
In case you are one of the three people following the Surf Guide Algarve story you know that the spearfishing is unfortunately not possible anymore. Due to surfers ear and trying to avoid another surgery. One of our friends handing out a good solution. Start fishing above the water! Straight away the very first time we went he caught three sea monsters. Fired up to try this we meet up again on the rocks at Zavial. Sun shining, waves too small to surf, perfect for fishing. Finally we have to conclude that the fish do not agree, zero action. By now the waves actually look pretty fun and we are so hot we can use a little dip. By the time I get to the car I have very limited time left, so I decide to go without a wetsuit. Brave or stupid, or maybe both. Catch a few really fun waves and after about half an hour I go in. Refreshing to say the least!
Not Pavones, but good enough
On this side of Portugal we are absolutely spoiled with how many spots we have and different waves we can surf. Guiding a dude from Costa Rica who actually worked as a guide there is a treat. Given that it is June and not the best time for quality waves we score a couple of fun sessions. Finishing of at our left hand point break, Punta Ruiva. Timing is pretty much perfect, no one out and fun waves for the whole morning. Our VIP guest is already in the water but decides to try the *much bigger, inside first. He joins us quickly when he sees us taking the longest waves the Algarve has to offer. Maybe not Pavones, but surely good enough for a fun session!
