If you want Private surf book a ticket to the Algarve in July
While most headers function mostly as clickbait, this one really is true. Interestingly enough this summer simply feels a little different. Yes there are a lot of cars on the road, and yes the sun is shining everyday. Yet, where are all the surfers? Lets take a deeper dive what the first half of July looks like from the most soutwestern tip of Eurpore. Surf Guide Algarve mostly shredding solo. So now you know, if you want private surf, book a ticket to the Algarve in July!
West Coast Surf simply hits different
Forecast showing 0,3 – 0,6 meter with 7 seconds. But if you know the place, and that we do, you know better then that. Combine huge tides with a very exposed slab of sand and the result is way more than 0,6 meter. Or at least the heaviest 7 second wave you will come across. Truth is that the West Coast really does not need a whole lot of swell to start working. Especially the exposed beaches just turn on when you time it right.
Surf Safari
Apparently there are a lot of interesting birds to see in this region. Personally I do not see much difference between a chicken and a seagull. Biggest difference perhaps that we only eat one of them. Whenever you go out and explore into the woods, mainly Monchique, you will also find some other wildlife. During our surf missions the wildlife score is often very limited. Today is a real surf Safari! On our way to the beach we get snaked even before we hit the water. Beautiful local guy chilling under the boardwalk. Keen to join us on one of our missions, send us a message!
