Things are heating up with Surf Guide Algarve
As been mentioned before, this summer is crazy. Shaping up to be one of the best summers in 11 years, the time that we are here. Joined by some epic Surf Guide Algarve guests we really make the best of the good summer conditions. Warm water, sunshine and good waves, what more can you ask for. Please enjoy as things are heating up down south!
Surf Guide Algarve putting the Fun back in surfing from day one
Agreed, the heather is a little long. Yet it needs to be stressed that too many people in the water seem to take surfing way to serious. Aggression and negativity do not belong in the water. Remember, we are all here for the same thing. Have fun! Obviously there are a couple of factors at stake. There are a lot of surfers that do not know or respect any of the surf etiquettes. Add the summer crowds, all flogging the more obvious spots and peaks. Result is pure mayhem and very little people actually having fun. However you can book a surf guide and we will take you to a less obvious spot. Less people is more waves, more waves is more fun!
Time to get serious, or not?
Before you think we dont take our surfing serious, you are very wrong. By the time we hit the water we want to shred and go as hard as we can. Once the tide pushes too high and the sun starting to really fry the waves start to become very small and infrequent. Boiling with my hot wetsuit I decide to take it off. Problem is, my shorts are in the car parked 10 minutes walking away. Ever tried surfing nude? Only if the water is this warm I can totally recommend. Arguably the other two dudes in the water might disagree.
Next morning the ocean is alive again. Perfect timing for our advanced surf coaching session with our friend. Two Dutch grommets who are joining our tour now since about 5 years on a mission. To begin with just two stoked kids with a bit of talent and very supportive parents. Fast forward a few years and they absolutely rip! More about that in the next blog…
