Interesting times down here in the Algarve. Summer is coming to its end yet it is a bit early to call it fall. Rental prices are still in high-season mode, but the people are not. Back in the day I used to work in a Surfcamp where we had a ‘changeover day‘ and funny enough it feels a little like that. Temperatures clearly dropping, it gets light later and dark early. Surfers in general are funny creatures. Although we like to believe we are social creatures, when that perfect wave comes, you want it. From time to time you will need to let one go because of surf etiquette or just a friendly gesture. By the time you surfing wit more people, you will need to share more waves. Doing simple maths, when there is less people, there are more waves for you. Resulting in all the waves for you when there is no one out! Obviously its impossible to guarantee an empty line up at any time, but Surf Guide Algarve knows where to look!

Overall we try to give a thousand percent for every surf guide algarve guest. Sharing the stoke with likeminded people is a dream. When one of the guests comes back its really pretty much like meeting an old friend again. Today we share empty glassy waves with one of our returning guests.
