Thinking outside the box with Surf Guide Algarve
Most likely this is the most popular time of the year for surfing in the Algarve. Fair enough, the weather is good, winds favourable and indeed we get good waves. With the visiting crowds we have to think a little bit outside the box to score empty waves. Avoiding the crowd is almost more important than finding a good wave these days. Surf Guide Algarve goes on a mission with a couple of very much VIP guests, enjoy the story.
As good as it gets
Today is a special one, joined by a true VIP crew we heading west. Mother ocean has something very special in store for us today. Offshore wind and pretty much perfect waves. Some days just are as good as it gets. Stoked and tired we meet up on the beach after a very long session. One of the crew volunteers while the surf guide takes one more last wave…
Everyone going West, we go South
Wind turning north for a few hours, cleaning up the south coast. While the swell is surely big enough and with a good angle. Time to pull out a joker and gamble a little. Scoring empty waves is always good but if they are this quality its really amazing. Rocking up on an empty parking and just picking the very best waves of every set. Zavial putting on a show and we really surf until we simply can not paddle any longer.
Back to the wild west
Finishing the blog with the lucky number three. Options enough but surf guide algarve tries again to go where the others are not. Finding a empty peak with long running waves left and right. Positioning is not easy sitting far out in the ocean, add a offshore breeze and some good size sets. Although challenging the reward is there and we all get a couple of absolute beautiful waves.
