The Boys are back in Town, for more adventure with Surf Guide Algarve
Autumn time in the Algarve is really nice. usually there is still plenty of sun but above all, there are often fun waves. Add to this that in the more northern countries in Europe winter really starts now. You can understand why many surfers come down to Portugal. Busy? Maybe if you follow Surfline, Surf Guide Algarve will always think a bit out of the box. Boys are back in town for more adventure, enjoy the full story!
Well prepared
With waves almost every single day of the year, the Algarve is very special. Often times we can find protection from the big swells and go hunt for more exposed beaches when needed. At the same time, the waves here are often not easy to surf. One day we surf overhead powerful West Coast bombs and the next we surf weaker shoulder high waves on the south. Both sessions are fun for their own reason but can not be more different. How do you prepare for a trip like this? Question is simple, just come fit and stoked and enjoy everything nature has in store for us.
The Surf Guide fucks up
Well, as a photographer I do. Our friend brings this huge 40kg heavy unit from the Netherlands for us to play with. Zoom so incredible that NASA asked if they can use it after. Arriving on the spot the waves look incredible. I decide to start and shoot a couple of pictures, *while I am still dry. Crew absolutely sending it and I get some incredible photos. At least, I think. For some, still unknown reason, all the pictures I took turned out black. And yes, the cap was off. To make matters worse, the only picture that does turn out good, is of my last wave. Guess we all fuck up sometimes, at least the spot choice was epic…
