Surfing our brains out with Surf Guide Algarve
Unbelievable, rocking up at the beach with perfect waves and not a single soul in sight, again. Where are all the people? Every second car has boards on the roof and every surf related restaurant and cafe is so full you need to pre-book a table. Yet the waves are empty… for the most part. The only thing holding us back from surfing all day is our arms. Forced to pick the best moments in the day we surf our brains out. Enjoy the full surf guide algarve story and pictures.
Sometimes one is not enough
Without any question, being a surf guide is an absolute dream job. Does that mean that it is easy? Sure it is not. Every day the pressure is on. One of the hardest things is to fit the best conditions for your level. Luckily with a lot of returning guests we know what waves fit. Every now and then the levels just do not mix. Bro is ready to challenge himself while the lady prefers a bit more mellow waves. Now what to do… Today we decide to surf the big stuff first to go look for more mellow waves after. Our guest enjoying the waves trough the eyes of the zoom of the camera. Shooting some incredible pictures. At the same time another friend standing one level up doing the same thing… Two guys in the water and pictures from two angles!
Mellow waves please
Please let there be no miscommunication here, this lady we talk about, absolutely charges. Sending it on easy overhead sections and not scared for anything. Saying that, one broken board per trip is enough and I think it is very good if surfers can see their limits and do not cross that line. Straight after the bigger waves we drive to Beliche to find beautiful mellow waves. Sunday, mid morning, now we see where all the people are. Beliche always offers multiple peaks and usually there is enough waves for everyone, even if it is busy. Once down the long stairs we spot an empty peak that our guest takes full advantage off. Stoked hungry and tired… Ready to join one of the surf guide algarve missions, get in touch now!
