The ocean gives us so much, sometimes it is time to do something back. Every day when we finish the session we pick up some trash we find on the way. Obviously this does not make a huge difference, but imagine if everyone would do that? Easter is here and the Algarve is temporary full with tourists and guiding guest. Lucky for them the weather is really good and so are the waves. In between great surf sessions we organise an easter egg and trash hunt. Year three in a row, a new tradition. Beach cleanups are kind of frustrating in a way. Although you are actively doing something good, its depressing to see how little difference we make. Does that mean we shouldnt do it? Of course not! People come in great numbers from all over. Friends, family, some new friends and random strangers who happen to be at the right spot at the right time. Call it peer pressure, but its super cool to see a tourist ask for a trashbag on his holiday and help out cleaning the beach. For the little ones we hide a ton of chocolate eggs. Celebrating easter in absolute style.
Life is a movie
Sometimes it really is. Today is one of those days. Forecast is looking promising, but you know what happens when the expectations rise… Usually the best surfs go down at the moments you least expect it. Exceptions are there too, and we absolutely SCORE. An absolute epic sandbar that just unloads the most perfect rights all morning long. Barrels for the ones ready and the option to take off a bit more on the shoulder too. Completely square eyed I come out the water to be welcomed by two kamikaze motor dudes. They perform a full on show doing wheelies on the empty beach, really life is a movie sometimes.
