The saga continues… Continues flows of fun to good waves and amazing crew to share them with. Almost impossible to keep track of all the sessions and epic stories behind the waves. Inspiring or just entertaining I always try to give you a brief idea of what Surf Guide Algarve has been up to. Starting with a ripping Californian dude from 65, followed by super fun offshore waves with the crew. Ending the story with a visit from the Dutch surfing champion, showing us how its done. Californian dreaming
Dude, you got space for an old surfer like me? Mellow conditions please cause I have a hard time getting up. Words from our new Californian friend. Next thing you know the dude is absolutely sending it in Zavial. By no means does he have a hard time getting up on the board. Years of surfing and style show and very inspiring to see someone rip with 65 years. Maybe age really is just a number? Princess Surf Guide Algarve is enjoying the morning on the beach and makes this picture.
Offshore on the West Coast
These are the days to look out for. Small swell and east wind. Scoring an empty beach with waves that just keep coming. Probably surfing for about 2 hours but both catching so many waves it is almost unbelievable. Today the left is working good, our goofy friend is stoked with that, but honestly, I do not care what way I go.
A visit from the Champ
Champion from the Netherlands, with much bigger dreams to come. Small boys grow up… Guiding him and his brother since they are really tiny. Fast forward a couple of years and he is number one. Proud but not surprised, this kid has the stoke, commitment and the backing from his parents from day 1. *His mom a bit angry at me for waking them up super early again, but with a smile on the beach. While I congratulate him on one of his powerful frontside carves and how stoked I am to see him again he replies. ‘‘Dude you are a huge inspiration to me‘‘. That sticks. Surfing out of our skins in fun conditions, but whats just as important, with the biggest smiles on our faces.
