The day we all dream about
If someone comes up to any surfer in the world and asks for a perfect wave, this one will come really close. Barreling yet not scary, no one out, easy entry and easy paddle out. Sunshine, offshore, sandy bottom, what more can a surfer possibly ask for? This day is one we all dream about. Needless to say we absolutely surf our brains out…
Pura Vida vibes in Portugal?
Today there is no surf guiding going on. Somehow all the visiting surfers seem to know where to go… Luckily there are always a couple of semi-local wild cards ready for adventure. Due to a big tidal difference and the simple fact we are not working we opt to wait for the perfect tide. Sun a little higher in the sky, combining with the crazy blue sky and offshore wind making the whole scene look like Costa Rica. Even the ocean feels warmer then normal. Finally time to go and get a couple of lefts.
Chasing the unicorn once more
Saving the best for last again. Or actually, in many ways it is not really the best. Arguably even the worse session of the past few days. Joined by two semi-local dudes, wearing helmets we go on a crazy adventure. Strong offshore wind with some serious swell we try to score the same wave as a couple of days ago. Only today the tide is lower and the swell on steroids… Getting out is a mission on its own, and lets not talk about finding a surfable wave. Mayhem, total destruction, hell, there are a few words coming to mind to describe this session. But at the same time, there is that chance to surf the best barrel of your life… Love absolutely every single moment of this crazy adventure. Especially when we all got away unharmed and big tired smiles on our face. Would you go?
