Surf Guide Algarve and crew escaping the Heat
Summer is here to stay. Temperatures rising and its best to avoid the hottest parts of the day. Luckily we are pretty well prepared for these kind of conditions. Houses are nice and cool even without airco. Plus the sea is always nice and refreshing. We went back for a quick trip to the Netherlands. Caught red hot in the middle of a heatwave. I guess there are worse things that can happen. Staying close to the water at all times and even sneaking in a small surf! Back in the Algarve mother ocean surprises us with super fun conditions and the crew is ready to roll. Enjoy how surf guider algarve and crew escaping the heat!
Back to the roots
Can you surf in the Netherlands? Yes you can! And if you are not too picky about the height or quality, pretty often too. Growing up learning to love the mostly weaker, short brown waves from Holland makes you appreciate the rest even more. Still there is something special about surfing in the Netherlands. Trying to cool down a little we visit our friend at the Surf school where it all started. Beach Break, now much more professional but still at the same unique location in Noordwijk. As we arrive the tide is low and when the tide starts pushing back in there is a super fun wavy to enjoy with the whole family and our friend.
New Toy needs to be played with
Remember when you got a new toy when you were a kid? Our five year old reminds us all the time how it is like to be that age… Yet, some things just do not change. Or at least not for me. When there is a new board ready it just goes in the water, no matter the conditions. Shaped for more critical/heavy conditions this board is the most high performance of the Gibson range. Mellow waves versus a very high performance surfboard, lets go! Spoiler alert, the board is incredible, we just need to get some better waves to show you hopefully in one of the next blogs. Still it is nice to feel the board out before its really game-on…
Dream team
Last minute some of the VIP hard-core dream team members sign up to join the adventure. Sunny and hot, blue ocean, almost no wind and a private peak. Almost perfect? Gets even better, without knowing the wife of one of the crew shoots a couple of pictures. Super stoked about the whole morning. You ready to join one of these adventures? Please get in touch now!
