Surf Guide Algarve clicking back into gear
Surfing is a momentum thing, we all know that. Once you are in sink with the ocean everything just flows and feels easy. Good sleep, a fun song, a laugh before the session, whatever puts you in the right mind space. Frustrating enough we always deal with ever changing conditions. Lately the ocean *and wind, have not been in our favour. Guess that is summer, and its also good to slow down at times. Yet now it is time to go hard again! Small easy waves or more challenging?
These days the Surf Guide Algarve crew is powered by two VIP/ regulars who know how to surf in a wide range of conditions. Sunrise, first question of the day, do you want to go easy small waves *with likely some other crew? Or do you prefer bigger more challenging surf, likely with no one around? Day one we choose the easy option. One of the dudes is fresh of the plane and has not seen the ocean for a while. Better to start off a bit more mellow. Amado providing super fun conditions for all levels really. Surprisingly little crew in the water and we have all three have a great session.
Lets double the stakes
New day, new waves, new chances. Same question to the crew, secretly hoping they will prefer bigger waves today. Fortunately my sales background still works and we set sail for Castelejo. Solid sets but no wind and better, no people. Easy dry hair paddle out trough the channel making life even better. Guests a little bit on the edge of their comfort level but that is good, perfect day and opportunity to push yourself a little bit. Great waves, lefts and rights with the exceptional straight hander. This really is one of those sessions it really all comes together. Even manage to get a couple of pics for you guys to enjoy at home.
