Do the right thing, surf left! West Coast session with Surf Guide Algarve
Surely the title is a little bit cliche. At the same time, this session is not. Together with our ‘first ever- guiding guests‘ and one other ‘Vip- Surf Guide Algarve guest, we score an incredible session on the West-Coast. Offshore wind, fun size waves and surprisingly enough, no one out. Even if it is a beach break with rights and lefts, the backside seems to work best this morning. Enjoy the story and the pictures.
The best board is the one you have most fun on
What is the best board for you? To be able ton answer this question there are a lot of important factors. How often do you surf, where do you surf mostly, how long are you surfing? Additionally you can add, what type of surfing you are currently doing and what kind of manouvers you want to do. Even dough it is not impossible to surf radicle on a longboard it is pretty hard to do hang-tens on a shortboard. Overall the answer is quite simple. Take the board that allows you to have the most fun. This guy is a living example of someone who choose the right piece of equipment. Midlength surfboards are popular for good reason. Paddling is easier than a standard shortboard, yet you can still do good turns.
Different from the midlength approach, this dude likes his boards as small as possible. Sometimes this backfires a little bit, but when he gets the right wave also this happens.
