Perfect timing at Cordoama with Surf Guide Algarve and the sunshine crew
‘Where is everyone?‘ Is the first question one of the Surf Guide Algarve crew asks when we arrive on the empty beach of Cordoama. Whats more, there is zero wind and beautiful small waves coming in. As the sun is climbing slowly over the beautiful famous West-Coast cliffs the backdrop is spectacular. Without a doubt, our timing is perfect again.
Sunshine Summer edition
As been mentioned before, every season has its own advantages and disadvantages. Surprisingly the water temperature does not change much during the year. Only if there is very little swell and the sun is strong enough, the water will really warm up a little bit. And that is exactly what happens now. If you really want to you could trunk it now. We just wearing 3/2 and short-arm wetsuits. Still feels very summery.
Family surf guests
While most of the Surf Guide Algarve guests with kids usually come surfing solo. *Partner and kids stay at the holiday house. These guys take on the challenge differently. Because they both surf, they just take the 9 month old grommet to the beach and surf back to back. Obviously this does not work in all weather conditions or even with all kids. Yet this young family shows that it can be done in perfect balance.
