Epic September sessions with Surf Guide Algarve
In the first place I want to apologise for the lack of blog posts. Adventures are following each other up on such a high pace it seems almost impossible to keep track. In reality this writing is mainly done for my good friends at Google. Secondly its nice for the Surf Guide Algarve guests *and friends of them, in the story. Lastly it is nice for me to look back on very good memories. Todays story will take you from Tonel in Sagres to the west coast, Cordoama to be exact. Enjoy the epic September sessions!
Surf Sagres, the end of the world
Surprisingly everyone is a little extra exited when we surf in Sagres. As much as every beach is in fact the end of the world, Sagres holds a little extra magic. Tonel especially. Surrounded by beautiful high cliffs, the lighthouse in the distance and the fortress on your left. This place is special, even without waves. Although, we do get waves, obviously. Gentle fun waves, with no one out. Perfect surf for the ‘less-pro‘ surf guide algarve guests.
Surf like a mermaid on the west coast
Dance like no one is watching, but how would you like to surf? Like a mermaid would be a decent answer I guess. As can be seen on the pictures, the surf does not get much better in the Algarve. We get some incredible clean days with very warm water and a nice size swell. The second photo is taken by a friend who happens to be a professional photographer. He claims he only noticed it was me the last wave… Stoked it was a good one then.
