Only ones out
Though its not rare for the Surf Guide Algarve to be the only ones out, in Arrifana it feels very special. With a number of factors *cold morning, other spots that possibly work, a tide that usually is not ideal, we arrive to an empty beach. Whenever we get down at the waters edge we discover a perfect left running in a deep channel. Easy paddle out and perfect waves, does it get any better?

Soon we are joined by a couple of other surfers. All good vibes, but one guy really rips. When we paddle back in the channel he explains that this is his backyard and he grew up surfing this place.
