A Surf Guide Algarve session to remember
Every surf session is a little special for its own reasons. As been mentioned before, we always try to make every mission special. Waves naturally have the habit of doing whatever they like. So even with a lot of experience we can not create perfect rolling salt water. What we can control is at what time we go where and with who. More often than not a session with average waves with the right crew can feel just epic. Today we take it to the next level. A surf guide algarve session to remember, probably for ever. Our two ‘first ever‘ surf guide guests joining the adventure and the forecast is super tricky. Just how we like it most. Resulting in perfect waves with no one out, enjoy the full story and pictures.

Perfect timing or luck?
Forecast predicting rain wind and even thunderstorms. Yet the direction of the wind gives options. Luckily the big low pressure thunders over when its still dark. As we drive to Castelejo the anticipation rises. From far we see perfect plumes shooting off the waves. Carpark deserted, perfect timing or luck, you can decide. Changing in a wet wetsuit never went quicker and we running to the lineup. First wave is on camera, just to be sure that we have a memory if it all goes to shit later.

Two sessions in one
While the wind switches a little from side off to side onshore we check out the options. Meanwhile the tide changes enough to create another wave on the other side of the Castelejo rock. This one still offshore. Starting the morning with mainly rights now its time for some right hand waves. Because of the rain the zoom lens stays home but good thing we pack the water camera. Some fun shots of an incredible morning with these two absolute legends.
