With Surf Guide Algarve Good vibes are more important than Good Waves
If we could have six foot perfect offshore every day, we would sign up. Probably be out of work on the third day, but still score every day. Or would we? Is it not exactly the reason that the feeling of scoring comes only when you surf less good waves a number of times? Currently we have a couple of typical summer days, meaning, windy and small swell. Since most surfers who live in the Algarve will wait for quote on quote ‘better days‘, the beaches are practically empty. At the same time, we can not create a perfect wave, but we can still make the best of what we have on offer. Joined by an absolute epic crew of *mainly landlocked surf guide algarve guests we learn an important lesson. Good vibes are more important than good waves.

Sharing the stokes from a new angle
Replacing our broken camera, we bought not one, but two cameras. First a camera completely waterproof, with very limited zoom. Second a very good zoom lens with a slightly older body. Hopefully these two will be with us a little longer then the last. Straightaway we learn that water photography is not as easy as it seems. Interesting enough you do really share the wave together when one of the guests drops in and I am in position for the shot. Really sharing the stokes from a new angle.

What more can we ask for
To sum up, the Algarve really feels like a dream. Every beach is a little different and so is every day or wave. Next thing you know you walk down this amazing boardwalk of praia do Bordeira. Sun is slowly gaining strength while the lineup is completely empty. If you come all the way here to surf, is this not exactly what you are dreaming off? Or is it only worth to go when its six feet and offshore. Please send us a message if you choose the first option, thanks for reading.
