Scoring Easter waves with Surf Guide Algarve and saying thank you to the ocean
Easter in the Algarve almost feels like high season. Interesting enough the whole place just goes from sleepy mode to complete mayhem. Luckily its every year the same and usually it quiets down after easter again. This year is no different. Surf Guide Algarve doing what we do best dodging the crowds as good as possible. As surfers we depending 100% on the ocean. So its only fitting to do something back every now and again. Whenever we finish our surfs we always take some trash but it feels like it makes no difference. Celebrating Easter and saying thank you to the ocean in style we organise a Easter egg-trash hunt. Filled with good karma we score epic waves with no one out the next morning. Enjoy the full story – and pictures!

Surf guide friends from close and far
All in all most of the surf guide algarve crew visiting comes from Europe. Germany to be more exact. Interesting enough they have a lot of pretty good surfers living in a more or less landlocked land. Add to this that they on average earn a few coins working hard in an economy that keeps Europe afloat and the result is simple. Suddenly a dude from Panama sends a message. Stoked to share some moving salt water with anyone but cool to see some new perspective. When he puts his wetsuit on the wrong way around it does worry me a little bit. Waves today in Beliche, not what you call ‘beginner friendly‘. Plus the dude says he can surf! Turns out he can, he just never seen a wetsuit in his life before.

Scoring good waves and karma bonus points
Karma is a funny thing. Somehow it really seems to work. You do good and the next moment it circles back to you. Reverse is true too, do not ask me how I know. Meanwhile its Easter, time to think about chocolate eggs and all that. Last year we organised a beach clean/ egg hunt, so why not just do that again? Our friends from the shops happy to put in a few coins to sponsor the good cause, lets do this properly. Combining a treat for the kids with some kind of thank you for the beach/ ocean. Can not think of a better way of celebrating Easter. Obviously the next morning we score extra good waves, coincidence or what?
